Things we have done:
- Date picked
- Venue secured.
- Decided on a guestlist
- Created a website
- Dress decided on. My long road to finding the perfect dress was chronicled in The Dress Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 and Part 4 This is the dress.
- Hair pieces for me and my gals almost made. Here's mine and here are the organza flowers for my girls. I have hair clips and tulle for the girls but I'm still undecided about feathers for my gals.
- Speaking of the gals, we've decided on our wedding party. My sister, Jessica, my cousin, Sarah and friend, Rebecca (seen here in her dress), will be bridesmaids. Roommates, Rob and Ben (seen here, Rob on the left and Ben on the right holding Rob's new baby) will be Lawrence's groomsmen. Our ring bearer will be Lawrence's 4 year-old nephew and our "flower" girls will be Lawrence's 2 1/2 year-old niece and my 18 year-old cousin, Olivia.
- I've got jewelry for me (a pair of chain maile earrings I already owned and a cute charm) and for the gals (hand made daisy pendants and heart or flower earrings).
- Got tulle, ornaments and ribbon for ornament bouquets.
- Got ribbon for ribbon boutonnieres.
- Procured supplies for flower girl wands.
- Found the perfect little galvanized pot for the ring bearer to carry. I'd like to tie balloons to each handle cause we're going for a subtle balloon theme.
- I have the invitations designed and have all the paper and envelopes to make them.
- Centerpieces have been conceptualized, paper and dowels purchased as well as these plastic cups to hold candy on the tables. I also collected paint chips and used a paper punch to punch out hearts to scatter around the center of the tables.
- Decided we're going to decorate the chairs with tissue paper flowers.
- For favors, we're making love quote bookmarks which we have paper and ribbon for.
- My mom keeps buying stuff in our colors whether they have a specific purpose or not. She's bought: tissue paper, vinyl table clothes, dish towels, wrapping paper, duct tape, weird plastic ice cube thingies, and a plethora of plastic bowls and platters. She also bought us napkins (from Ikea) and plastic cutlery and serving utensils (from the Dollar Tree).
- We've decided on a menu of a build your own taco bar with mini cupcakes, mini cheesecakes, mini brownies and spritz cookies for dessert, all home made.
- Asked my dad to officiate the ceremony and create the playlist for the reception (and he said yes).
- Designed guestbook pages
- Buy rings
- Complete all the projects I have materials for (hair pieces, flower girl wands, center pieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, bookmarks, invites)
- Buy materials for and complete the rest of the projects (dress, tissue paper flowers, flower girl tutus, yarn lanterns, felt dahlia brooches in lieu of corsages, pinata maybe, sun printed picnic blankets)
- Save money for buying food and then make the food
- Find shoes
- Decide what Lawrence is going to wear (which is really up to him)
- Write ceremony and vows
- Decide on ceremony music
- Decide on first dance song and maybe practice said first dance
- Attempt to convince my gals that doing a choreographed dance number would be super cool
- Decide who's doing what at the wedding
- See if the friend who's gifting hair and makeup would be willing to do a trial
- Eventually do things like send invites and get our marriage license
- Keep loving Lawrence
